Avico Lory Life Powder is a powdered dry diet for use in feeding all lories and lorikeets. It has also been used with success as a supplement for Fig parrots. Many softbill breeders use it as a sprinkle on their fruit mixes. It contains natural ingredients and is completely fortified with vitamins and minerals as well as natural coloring pigments, which enhance color intensity in the plumage. Lory Life Powder should be provided in an open dish and should be kept in front of lories at all times. Because the diet is dry, spoilage does not occur. Acceptance is excellent, with most birds eating the powder upon introduction. We recommend the use of Lory Life Nectar in conjunction with Lory Life Powder along with fresh fruit as a complete diet for these birds.

Avico Lory Life Nectar is a highly concentrated nectar product, which dissolves instantly in water (1part concentrate to 5parts water). Made from natural ingredients, this nectar is easily assimilated by these birds. Certain small species, which require a higher carbohydrate diet, thrive on this nectar and fresh fruit. Natural color pigments are included to enhance color intensity of the plumage. This nectar is also an excellent supplement for hanging parrots. Both of these products have been used as a hand rearing formula for lories and lorikeets. Hot water should be added to either product at a ratio of 1:1. Add a little applesauce, stir and feed. Lory Life Powder and Lory Life Nectar have been formulated to be as low in iron as is practical to minimize the occurrence of hemochromatosis.

Avico Bugs~n~Berries is a universal insectivore diet which is meant for both birds and insectivorous mammals including Sugar Gliders. It can be fed alone or mixed with fresh fruit. Most species readily take to this diet on their own, others may need to be enticed by the addition of a few mealworms. Formulated to be low in iron it contains among other ingredients, insect larvae gut-loaded with spirulina and canthaxanthin.
